Outreach Newsletter
The Mission Statement for St. John's Outreach Committee:
To respond to God's request to love and nuture each other.
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and
you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and
you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you
visited me. Then the righteous will answer him and say, 'Lord,
when did we see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give
you drink? When did we see a stranger and welcome you, or
naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prision,
and visit you?' And the King will say to them in reply, 'Amen,
I say to you, whatever you did for the least brothers of mine,
you did for me." Matthew 25:35-45
1. Provide services and goods to people in need in our local
community.
2. Welcome new parishioners into the St. John community.
3. Through a living canvas, encourage the use of parishioner's
time, talent and treasure.
Outreach is the act of reaching out. It is also the extending
of services and activities beyond usual current limits to
positively impact the parish. It is the chance to put our
faith to work in the Community.
