We welcome you to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church! We are a faith-based community located in Leesburg, VA.
St. John The Apostle Roman Catholic Church maintains a rich history in Leesburg, Virginia. The founding date of our chapel on King Street, Immaculate Conception Chapel, dates back to 1878. We are proud of this 130 year-long presence where the image of the Twelfth Station of the Cross reminds us of our patron saint. There the Apostle John stands at the foot of the Cross with Our Lady on Calvary.
St. John the Apostle Catholic Church is a parish of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, Virginia.
Our pastor is Rev. Kevin Larsen. We invite you to read the welcome message from our pastor.
Our Parochial Vicar is Rev. Michael Kelly. If you are new to the area, we extend you a warm welcome to this beautiful part of the country in Loudoun County, VA. We invite you to learn more by visiting our Faith Resources Page → and join with us in our faith journey together.
We are an active parish of people who serve, as evidenced by the wide range of ministries available directly at our parish and also outreaching into the community. As Christ taught us, His Church IS the people. We welcome you wholeheartedly to become involved at St. John's!
No adoration July 5th-8th. The chapel will be painted and repaired throughout that entire week.
Tuesdays at 9:00 am through Fridays at 8:30 am in the Chapel
An adorer is present at all hours, those coming after the chapel is locked for the night can knock on the front door (not the glass) to be let in.

St. John the Apostle, the son of Zebedee and Salome, was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. John was called to be an Apostle by our Lord in the first year of His public ministry. He is considered the same person as John the Evangelist, John of Patmos and the Beloved Disciple. John's older brother was St. James the Great, another one of Jesus' Twelve Apostles. Jesus referred to the brothers as "Boanerges," meaning "sons of thunder." John is believed to be the longest living apostle and the only not to die a martyr's death.
